It’s interesting to consider as you browse our website that the images we use are of Abbott-Wade staircases in real homes up and down the country. Some are taken by a photographer after the installation but many are taken by our fitting teams after the installations are complete and also by our customers who are are keen to showcase their beautiful new staircases.

It is also interesting to note that you will not see the same staircase duplicated in a different colour or design because unlike other staircase companies because we do not use photographic sets or rendered images.

Far from resting on our laurels, Abbott-Wade have continued to innovate and raise standards which drives progress throughout the industry as competitors try to keep pace. No mean feat when you compare us with some of the much larger businesses out there.

Our achievements have now been recognised by the Corporate Livewire Innovation & Excellence Awards and our family business have been shortlisted for the 2018 awards.

It is understandably a very proud achievement for us. As a small business we always worked hard to create a company we can be proud, conduct ourselves in a professional manner and put the customer first. Since 1996 we have innovated, invested in our future and lead the industry trends as tastes for styles and materials have changed.

Staircase Stories: Mr & Mrs Thorpe, Lytham St. Annes

In the beautiful Lancashire town of Lytham St Annes, Mr & Mrs Thorpe knew it was time to time to breathe new life into his staircase. After meeting with Janet from Abbott-Wade’s design team, the decision was made to use oak stop chamfered spindles and newel posts with a stylish volute at the base of the handrail to create the focal point to transform their home.

“Our hallway, stairs and landing are now being decorated and carpet refitted and when these jobs are complete, Pat and I believe it will look stunning. Please pass on our thanks to your two employees who installed our new staircase, not only were they were highly skilled craftsmen they were also great ambassadors for your company. Thanks once more.”
