At a time when the news is full of doom and gloom, it’s good to be reminded of some of the many good people and things which are still out there.
Way back in 1996, our much younger (and slightly less hairy) directors, Craig Abbott & Mike Wade were amongst the first recipients in Merseyside of a Prince’s Trust grant to contribute towards the tools needed for their fledgling new business.
‘We had the van but we needed the right tools to do the job, in fact – I’ve probably still got some of those tools in my tool bag,’ laughs Craig who was trained with the old mantra that ‘if you look after your tools, your tools will look after you’. A sentiment he has, in turned, passed down to his own apprentices over the years since.
Now celebrating 40 Years, the Prince’s Trust continues to do wonderful work creating opportunities for young people to fulfil their aspirations and we’re proud to have been a part of that history.
