Why a new staircase?
‘We needed an additional staircase to fully utilise the rooms upstairs in our dormer bungalow.’
Inspiration:
‘I have always admired the minimalist oak and glass staircases when seen in pictures.’
Decision making process:
‘Due to the minimal space available upstairs, numerous local companies told me they would only repair old staircases or that the only staircase that would fit would be a spiral staircase – I really do not like these. After a call to Abbott-Wade I was given a glimmer of hope after a video call with Colin. 2 home visits later and a new design was made which was perfect.’
Style choice:
‘We chose an oak and glass staircase as I love the minimalist look and it blends perfectly with our oak doors and floors.’
End result:
‘Our new staircase is amazing and I now have the “wow” factor I was looking for. The communication throughout was great and the staircase was fitted ahead of schedule. The Fitting was a very tidy experience.’

All the timber stair parts used here are prefinished in our spray shop by our specialist team to make this installation more efficient for the client and reducing mess & fuss and reducing the need for further visits to polish or paint their new staircase installation.
Balustrade:
Toughened 10mm embedded glass panels set into the rails presents clean lines filling the stairway with light and making the space look bigger and brighter.
Solid engineered oak newel posts with 4 perfect faces and no visible joins and flat newel caps with contemporary styled oak handrail.
Treads:
Solid engineered oak treads provide both function and form as they are aesthetically striking but also hardwearing and functional.
A bespoke rounded oak feature step adds a stylish invitation to climb this stylish stairs.
