Free, no obligation, home visit and design consultation

After contacting us, we’ll arrange a home visit at your convenience. Our surveyor will then come and see you to discuss your requirements and show you samples of the materials we use, along with a portfolio of completed jobs to help you select the right staircase for your home.

The average home visit doesn’t last long, but we are, of course, happy to stay as long as required to ensure we leave you with all the answers and information you need.

We believe that our products and workmanship speak for themselves, so rest assured, there will be no hard sell.

The whole process – From start to finish

Whether you’ve been recommended by a friend, found us online, seen our advertisement, or even flagged down a member of our team on the road, we aim to make the whole process as easy and stress-free as we can for you.

Your free, no-obligation design consultation

Once you’ve been in touch, a member of our design team will give you a call and arrange a free, no-obligation design consultation with you. Using samples, photographs and Abbott-Wade expertise, they will guide you through the different materials and styles we use to design the best staircase from your specifications and will usually be able to provide you with a price while on site.

The Survey

Once you’ve placed your order with our design team, an installation date can be arranged, and a surveyor will arrange to visit and take the final measurements and answer any other questions you may have thought of before installation. This visit usually only lasts around 40 minutes.

Installation

Finally, our installation team will visit to complete the installation, working under a canopy outside the property to complete any cutting. If you’ve ordered a new flight of stairs, the old staircase will be removed and taken away for recycling, and the new stairs will be installed. If we’re renovating your stairs, we’ll remove and replace your existing newel posts and balustrading and complete any other work you may have specified, such as cladding over the stringers or treads. What’s more, as all your new stair parts are installed prefinished, there’s no need for a return visit by decorators or French polishers.

Your Guarantee

Once the installation is complete, you will receive your Abbott-Wade Guarantee with your acknowledgement of payment. From there, there’s nothing left to do but enjoy your new staircase!

To ensure we leave your home spotlessly clean upon completion, all our fitting teams are fully prepared with dust sheets, cleaning materials and a vacuum cleaner. We treat your home as we would our own, so you won’t find a trail of muddy footprints or wood shavings on the floor after we’ve left. Not only are they guaranteed to give Kim & Aggie a run for their money, but we are sure you’ll also find them professional, polite and courteous at all times.
