“The installation team were very friendly and efficient. We would recommend Abbott-Wade to anybody looking for a new staircase.”
Why a new staircase?
“Our old staircase was a traditional but utilitarian structure. With white painted rails and banisters, it did not provide a focal point to a predominantly oak entrance hallway. With three levels is was featureless and a little overpowering.”
Inspiration:
“A number of magazines and advertisements had crystallised our thinking of having an oak and glass staircase.”
Decision making process:
“We had 2 visits from suppliers but although Abbott-Wade was not the cheaper, they inspired more confidence. The design process was uncomplicated with helpful suggestions on the best solution for different sections of the twists and turns of the stairwells.”
Style choice:
“We had a clear view of the oak and glass we were after, and were shown examples of it. The selection process was quick and easy.”
End Result:
“A very efficient team took less than 4 days to remove the old staircase and fully install the new one. No damage was made to the decoration and everything was tidied up and rubbish removed by the time of completion. Within a week following this, we had new carpeting installed and the whole area had been transformed. The stair case is now a feature of the house and we are delighted with the result.”
