Why a new staircase?
The old staircase wasn’t safe enough for small children. It also looked cold with so much metal.
Inspiration:
We knew we wanted a grand ‘statement’ staircase to match our big hallway.
Decision making process:
Abbott-Wade had done jobs for our family in the past so came highly recommended. We did receive cheaper quotes however they couldn’t do exactly what Abbott-Wade were able to offer. It was nice to have the peace of mind that they would do a good job.
Style choice:
We needed the staircase to look homely, yet grand, so opted for a contrast of white against dark wood. It had to suit the house and not look too modern. The chunky handrail posts and spindles added to the grandeur.
End Result:
We love it! It sets the house off beautifully and is the first thing everyone comments on. We would not hesitate to recommend.
