There are many factors which set Abbott-Wade apart from other staircase companies. One of the attributes which our customers like is our ‘everything under one roof’ philosophy of project managing your entire staircase project. Our custom fitted premises in a transformed Airforce engineering building enables us to do this more efficiently. From our purpose built Office Space, Spray Shop and of course the Workshop where our craftsman unlock the potential of each piece of wood to create unique stair parts for our installations.

Not only are all the stair parts we use unique from the natural grains and colouring but most are made to the bespoke measurements required by the individual installation. Many of our bespoke items like feature steps and under stairs doors as well as features like chamfered edges are hand crafted in Abbott-Wade’s very own workshop by our skilled craftsmen.

Staircase veteran David Abbott can often be found here hard at work or mentoring some of the younger team members and passing on his years of experience and expertise. As father of director Craig who learned his trade under Dave so many years ago, Dave has a proven track record of honing the skills of numerous fine joiners. Alongside Dave, Staircase Technician Adam Forkin and warehouse worker Mikey Bradshaw are also often found handcrafting stair parts for upcoming installations ready to be transferred to the adjacent spray shop to be pre-finished by resident polisher Jon Abbott.

The team work using premium quality timber from ethical suppliers for all our stair parts meaning all our stairs are not only manufactured the highest quality, but they environmentally sourced too.
