Many of our new customers come to us as a result of a recommendation from a previous customer. After seeing Abbott-Wade’s handiwork first hand in a friends house, Mr & Mrs Foster knew exactly who to call to transform their staircase.
“The quality of the materials are excellent as was the standard of the workmanship. The whole process from enquiry, to survey to installation was seamless, thank you for a tremendous job.”
Why a new staircase?
We moved into our new build in 1996 and like most men my husband dislikes painting. Ever since that day he has vowed to install a maintenance free staircase with no awkward spindles to paint, it has taken us 20 years but this week we got there! A staircase is a luxury item as it isn’t a necessity to replace unless it is unsafe so it always got put to the back of the list.
We decided earlier in the year to save up for a staircase renovation as we knew we needed to decorate and the thought of spending days rubbing down, undercoating and glossing dozens of spindles filled us with dread.
Decision making process:
We had been looking around online and seen many companies offering the style of staircase that we wanted but we were wowed when friends of ours showed us the quality of the staircase from Abbott-Wade that they had just had installed. We were also impressed by what we read in their guide to staircase renovations.
We chose the American light oak and glass as it is modern and easy to keep clean. It works really well.
The end result is fantastic, as our lounge is open plan it is a real feature. The quality of the materials are excellent as was the standard of the workmanship. Our two fitters worked non stop for 9 hours and were meticulous. The whole process from enquiry, to survey to installation was seamless, thank you for a tremendous job.
