- Wade joinery is owned and run by Craig Abbott and Michael Wade.
They began by both being self employed fully qualified joiners and
working together approximately 70% of the time.
Abbott wade began approximately 10 years ago when both Michael and Craig were 19 years old. They have been friends for many years; in fact they were in nursery school together. The hours they work are approximately 8am to 6pm at least six days per week sometimes working Sundays. In addition to this, they need to go out visiting customers and giving estimates in the evening. |

They have recently agreed to have two apprentices on a Modern Apprenticeship scheme and have found this useful and helpful. They both enjoy this aspect of their work, as they are interested in training up youngsters. However this has brought new responsibilities and duties to Abbott-Wade as they are now employers and therefore have to be aware of, and carry out, their legal duties regarding health and safety laws and employment legislation. The areas they work in are St Helens, Warrington, Wigan, Cheshire and occasionally in the Manchester and Liverpool areas also, So their work is not just restricted to their locality. |
